Onkle Doug's Flag & Symbol Collection

To download, you usually can click your right mouse button on an image then select
"save image as" to pick the image you want. You will then have to tell the computer
which folder you wish to save it in. If this is your first time doing this, then go
into "My Computer" and set up a folder before you begin to copy any of these files.

Images appearing on various pages in these listings were collected primarily from The A-1 Icon Archive which contained an assortment of free graphics you can use on your own website. The link now takes you to www.free-graphics.com, which appears to have supplanted the site I got the images from in the mid 1990s.
For a great place to find flag icons, even to shop for flags and flag-related merchandise, check out World Flags - A flag guide illustrating everything there is to know about the flags of the world including what a flag is, which flags are the most popular, as well as the significance of all the different flags of the world.

Note that I have used a gif image for my e-mail address, and also used encoded characters to provide the hotlinked "mailto" address. I found a link for doing this on the Kim Komando website in 2007.
